Job DescriptionJob Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Accountant with expertise in US GAAP to monitor and implement new accounting standards, maintain global accounting policies, and provide guidance on significant and complex transactions. In this role, you will collaborate with senior management, business teams, and finance professionals to ensure compliance with accounting standards and processes. You will also lead high-profile accounting projects, develop training strategies, and partner with external auditors on key matters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide guidance on global accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage projects to implement new accounting standards, including evaluation, research, and communication of impacts to key stakeholders.
  • Design processes and controls to ensure compliance with new standards.
  • Create and execute accounting policy training strategies for global finance and business teams.
  • Identify and lead policy and process optimization initiatives in partnership with finance leaders.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to resolve significant accounting and audit matters.
  • Lead high-profile accounting projects, including impairment analyses, and accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements as well as audit committee materials.
  • Provide expert thought leadership and contribute strategically to technical accounting matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in public accounting.
  • Experience auditing financial statements and internal controls over accounting and reporting processes.
  • Expertise in accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong background in technical accounting research and writing technical memos.

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
