Setting: Sleep Center
Location:Openings in Amherst, Buffalo, & Lockport, NY
Schedule: Full-time, 4-10hr shift, 8:00pm- 6:00am
Pay: $25-$35/hr depending on credentials, education, and experience in sleep testing
The Sleep Technologist performs various diagnostic and treatment polysomnograms on adolescents and adult patient populations in addition to other sleep disorder tests in accordance with policies and procedures. Attaches electrodes and monitors to patients who are participating in a sleep study. Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the interpreting physician.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPSGT, RPSGT, NYSL, PSG, CRT, RRT, LPN, or RN license
- Completion of a sleep lab training program required. ASTEP, CAAHEP or CoARC program enrollment and completion in a reasonable amount of time if not already a certified, registered, or licensed technologist where applicable
- Must obtain RPSGT or RST within 3 years of hire date
- Valid BLS or ALS
- Previous experience preferred
