The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing this Non-Profit organization's finance function. This includes but is not limited to, overseeing and directing the accounting & finance team, strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting. The CFO will regularly liaise with auditors and maintains a positive, productive relationship with state Agency personnel. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for providing the CEO with up-to-date financial information and actively engage with the Board of Directors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide CEO with timely financial information that provides them with the necessary information needed to financially manage programs
- Supports finance committees of the Board by providing timely, complete, and accurate information to the committees
- Oversee daily financial operations staff and processes including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing/collections, and payroll
- Prepare, modify, and monitor the operational and capital budgets
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning and forecasting processes
- Oversee cash management, including the review of weekly cash flow reports and taking necessary action steps
- Support finance and investment committees by providing timely, complete, and accurate information
- Oversee and monitor all phases of the billing process
- Lead and manage the financial team
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payers
Requirements:
- BS in accounting or finance; MBA or masters preferred
- 10+ years working as a Director of CFO within a non-profit organization
- Experience working with DCF, DMHAS, and DSS.
- CPA a plus
