The Aircraft Systems Lead Architect 's primary focus will be working hand in hand with the Director of Airborne Systems and Director of Engineering to develop growth strategies, new products, IRaD initiatives, and market penetration plans in the airborne data transfer, data storage and video/audio recorder space. In addition, this role will be responsible for technical execution of NRE projects.


ITI's core business is hardware and software products that are used on the ground for Mission Planning and Mission Debrief, as well as airborne Data Transfer Receptacles and Cartridges that support a multitude of aircraft including the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, IDF, T-50, Mirage, F-2 and F-4.


Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for airborne data transfer and storage systems, including audio/video recorders.
  • Assist in the development of roadmap and growth initiatives across the company.
  • Development of the technical approach to support new business/growth initiatives and proposals
  • Development and execution of IRaD plans
  • Execution of NRE projects
  • Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development, engineering test design and development.
  • Mentor engineers that do not have experience with airborne products.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to Director of Airborne Products and Director of Engineering during pursuit of new business to ensure product offerings align with customer requirements.
  • Lead a diverse team to perform technical execution, technical risk management, requirements.
  • You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • You will be required to travel up to 25% consisting of some international travel.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of airborne Data Transfer, Data Storage and Audio/Video Recorders used on fixed wing, rotary wing and unmanned aircraft.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Engineering degree
  • 15+ years of experience with hardware, software and systems engineering of complex aerospace and avionics systems, with at least 5 years directly related to airborne data transfer, data storage and audio/video recording systems.
  • Due to export controls and ITAR products, candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience in all aspects of the systems engineering process, from requirements analysis through verification testing.
  • Experience as a Project Manager
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with a high desire to succeed.

The selected candidate will either be located in our Winter Springs, FL or Clearwater, FL office.

This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
