Join Our Team as a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic SLP to join our team in delivering top-notch virtual speech and language services to school-aged children.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse student populations, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their full potential. As part of our innovative teletherapy team, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored therapy sessions that meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups to address specific speech and language goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor and document students' progress towards meeting therapy goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students who may need speech and language evaluations.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development and strategies to support communication in the classroom.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and develop comprehensive educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Stay informed about current practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Advocate for students' communication needs and ensure they receive appropriate services and accommodations.
  • Facilitate communication and language development in students with diverse needs, including those with autism, hearing impairments, and other disabilities.
  • Provide support and counseling to students and their families regarding speech and language disorders.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain certification and licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Ohio Teaching Certification
  • Ohio SLP license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders
  • Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fast/reliable computer & internet connection
    • No Chromebooks/tablets permitted
