Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Quality department as needed in every area of manufacturing including manufacturing test, receiving inspection, warranty review data, document control, etc. in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration approved Production Approval Holder Quality System of Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and the AS9100 Standard.

  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • You have a minimum five years of aviation experience – building, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics and/or avionics
  • You have a minimum two-year electronics degree or equivalent education, training, and work experience.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office
  • You have strong attention to detail
  • You are organized, focused, and results-oriented
  • You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing ability
  • You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

 

  • You have relevant experience in quality

 

  • Deep investigation of circuitry and component trends of non-conformance or failure
  • Collaborate with Engineering and customers in support of root cause investigations of warranty failures
  • Develop and maintain reports of non-conformance investigations for the Quality Manager
  • Support manufacturing inspection personnel as needed
  • Support customer quality related audits as required
  • Contribute to the warranty review board program including the database and root cause efforts
  • Promote compliance with the AS9100 Standard through audit and oversight

Mix paints per manufactures specs
Preparation of parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
Complete workflow documentation thoroughly and properly as required
Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted
Clean and repair paint equipment
Touch-up parts as needed
Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
Keep work area clean
Some overtime may be required
Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders.
