Robert Half is partnering with a global eCommerce enterprise in search of an experienced Creative Packaging Project Manager (PM) to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role focuses on managing and executing packaging development, handling post-production packaging change requests, and supporting Out of Bounds efforts when needed. The PM will work with an in-house design team and a third-party print vendor to ensure that packaging artwork deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in both creative production and project management.


Location: Sunnyvale, CA (hybrid-onsite 3 days/week)

Duration: 12-month contract

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $63-68/hour


Position Overview:

The Creative Packaging PM will oversee packaging artwork from concept to final release, ensuring smooth collaboration between internal design teams and third-party vendors. Responsibilities include managing outer box development, artwork updates, and ensuring timely approvals and releases to print (R2P). The role requires strong communication with cross-functional teams, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage creative packaging artwork development, including outer box updates and packaging change requests.
  • Oversee the entire process from artwork intake to Release to Print (R2P), collaborating closely with in-house design teams and external print vendors.
  • Drive packaging artwork updates and approvals, ensuring deadlines are met according to the development schedule.
  • Develop, update, and communicate the workback schedule to stakeholders, managing expectations and escalating delays when necessary.
  • Review final artwork and ensure accuracy before sending files to print vendors following standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Problem-solve unexpected production challenges, ensuring successful execution and delivery of packaging solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Creative PMs, Regional PMs, Retail EPMs, and other stakeholders to support project success.
  • Conduct artwork proof routing and release to print, reviewing all relative materials for quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in creative production, with a focus on packaging or print.
  • Experience in artwork creation, proof routing, and release to print, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to take detailed notes, revise artwork designs, and communicate effectively with both creative teams and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in project management software and creative operations.
  • Strong multitasking skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Degree or certification in Graphic Communication or Design.
