Junior Research Chemist

• Conduct day-to-day analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
• Follow specific SOPs and detailed methods to ensure precise and reliable results.
• Document findings, maintain clear records, and use computerized data systems like SharePoint.
• Support cross-functional teams, including product developers and process engineers, with valuable insights.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform daily analytical testing using instrumental, wet chemistry procedures; assist Senior research chemists with projects as assigned.
• Familiarity with current commercial software applications (Excel, Word)
• Experience with lab documentation
• Must be able to follow work instructions and procedures to produce results; record results using computerized data systems such as SharePoint, etc...
• Maintains a neat and clean working area at all time
• Must be flexible as priorities will change.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Good attendance history.
• Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment and successfully completes all safety requirements.

Requirements/Must Haves:

• BS-Science related; preferred Chemistry
• Must be good with lab fundamentals, can follow tedious methods and step by step process.
• Knowledge of
  • -instrumentation (using pipettes)
  • -scaling
  • -etiquette in the lab
  • -can follow steps & SOPs
  • -protein phase transition analyzing
• BIG --- confident in understanding what methods are and communicates well with the Sr. Chemist if they do not understand
• Must be able to start as soon as possible.
