Job Description

We are seeking a Technician Apprentice to join our team in Canton, OH. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of tasks each day. The role includes identifying parts, documenting, operating machinery, and engaging in general manufacturing duties. This is a first shift position with a competitive pay rate of $24-$25/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Identify parts using drawings.
  • Accurately count and document parts while utilizing the Bill of Materials.
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane to collect and move materials.
  • Stack, unstack, and pack boxes, parts, and spares.
  • Learn to place orders for bolts, nuts, fittings, and piping.
  • Prepare parts for painting, mask parts, and clean coating.
  • Perform basic assembly using hand tools.
  • Show interest in machine building or similar hobbies or experience.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery, and learn to set up and commission machines.
Essential Skills
  • General labor skills in assembly/construction, computer operation, shipping/receiving, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with forklift and/or overhead crane operation.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and documentation.
  • Understanding of the Bill of Materials.
  • Desire to grow and learn new skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in customer relationship management, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Automation experience.
  • Painting skills.
  • Experience in parts purchasing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
