Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our Firm. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's tax compliance, providing expert tax advice, and creating efficient tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws, extensive experience in accounting, and a proven track record in managing individual tax returns. This role will offer the opportunity to work on complex tax issues and contribute significantly to our strategic goals.

Job Details



Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with the organization's business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review complex 1040 individual tax returns and other tax forms, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Provide expert tax advisory services to the management team, making recommendations on tax planning and implications of business decisions.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries, representing the company in any tax-related discussions or negotiations.
  • Continually monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the finance team.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Lead and mentor members of the tax department to increase performance and productivity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws, tax compliance, tax advisory, and tax returns.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex 1040 individual tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of tax strategy development and implementation.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and research software.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
