Production Supervisor

Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Communicate regularly with other managers, the director, vice president, president, and other designated contacts within the organization. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Responsibilities- Complete all written documents needed by office staff as it pertains to his/her work area of responsibility.
- Ensure that employees are working efficiently and goals are being met.
- Use the production schedule to ensure that all production lines have the materials needed.
- Ensure data integrity by verifying employees' products meet our and our customers' standards.
- Understand and follow quality sign-off procedures.
- Understand and follow all safety procedures.
- Understand and follow all food safety and food quality issues and proper documentation whenever necessary.
- Know and follow all GMPs.
- Production supervision experience
- Management/Supervision/Team lead experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Planning/Scheduling experience
- Communication skills
- Experience in food manufacturing is not necessary but preferred
- Experience in high-speed work environments
- Experience with roasting, scheduling, payroll, and hour management
- Flexible hours to cover call-offs
- Experience with raw materials

Work EnvironmentWork in Plant 1, a roasting facility with oil and dry roasters on site. The facility is not temperature-controlled; windows are opened for air drying of the nuts. The environment is high-speed and may require flexibility in hours to cover call-offs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Solon, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $62000.00
