Production Planner

Our client, a nationwide leader in custom rubber manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced Production Planner, to join their winning team in Hamburg.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for ensuring seamless production operations, and will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and adjusting production schedules to meet customer demands and operational capacity. You will bring a strong ability to analyze data, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate effectively across teams, contributing to the company’s goals for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• Ensure a full understanding of each project’s material and production requirements through review of each Project’s SOW, Drawings, and BOMS, asking clarifying questions and working collaboratively cross functionally.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure all material requirements are met and delivered according to schedule.
• Review impact of all pending Engineering Change Requests upon schedule and adjust planning accordingly.
• Acknowledge and consider all Work in Process (WIP) while developing plans.
• Develop, maintain, and create visual displays for production floor of metrics that measure manufacturing performance against schedule planning goals.
• Supports bids by providing capacity estimates for future work.
• Develops and Monitors Production Planning: Creates and maintains production schedules in line with customer orders and manufacturing capacity including manufacturing monitoring conditions, material availability, and machine attendance, making timely schedule adjustments as needed.
• Coordination and Communication: Collaborates effectively with managers, customer service, and purchasing to ensure alignment of the production plan and proper execution.
• Reporting and Data Management: Generate and present accurate reports on production performance, capacity utilization, restrictions, and bottlenecks.
