Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in the Atlas, MI area. This is a full-time, on-site position for the middle grades. The ideal candidate will possess a valid teaching license and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Mdegree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
- Experience working with middle-grade students preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
