Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity in the HVAC industry for a Bookkeeper based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, processing of customer applications, and resolution of customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and executing appropriate actions.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain precise records of all revenue and expense transactions, ensuring they are allocated correctly
• Carry out regular reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card accounts and other financial accounts
• Support the budgeting process through the provision of essential financial data
• Ensure all labor, materials, and overhead expenses are accurately tied to specific jobs
• Coordinate and monitor customer cash and credit card payments
• Ensure invoices are provided to customers on a timely schedule and payments are received within terms
• Initiate and document all collection activity for past-due accounts, and liaise with management to resolve these
• Schedule and execute payments to suppliers to maximize cash utilization
• Properly record and track team members' worked hours and ensure timely payment
• Collect all cash and checks and deposit them into bank accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and special reports as required.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar position
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
• Proven track record in Bookkeeping tasks
• Strong skills in Data Entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Ability to handle Payroll tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
