LHH is seeking a Plant Controller for a manufacturer in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within a manufacturing setting. This role is critical in overseeing the financial health of our plant operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

  • Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Experience with creating and analyzing financial statements.

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
