We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to manage purchasing responsibilities and ensure the timely procurement of materials and components to meet our company’s production needs. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, the quality department, and the management team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Must have manufacturing experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing Materials: Responsible for purchasing materials and components in line with production needs and company requirements.
• Supplier Relations: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers. Maintain positive relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and services, and evaluate new suppliers.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays. Develop and maintain an effective system for tracking purchase orders.
• Order Monitoring: Ensure materials are delivered on time, and work closely with the management team to resolve any order discrepancies. Expedite deliveries when necessary.
• Vendor Management: Maintain an approved vendor list and collaborate with the quality department to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Invoicing & Reporting: Verify the accuracy of invoices and provide timely reports on backorders, missing products, and any order-related issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management and the quality department to ensure that all deliveries meet assigned order requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong aptitude for figures, finance, budgets, and numeracy.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and procurement software.
• Industry knowledge and experience in materials and component purchasing is desirable.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
