We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant near Parsippany, New Jersey to join an Insurance Claims Department. This role centers around providing comprehensive administrative support within the insurance industry, with a focus on managing correspondence, processing payments, and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


• Offer general administrative support, including the preparation of correspondence and reports

• Handle the generation and distribution of correspondence related to claims via mail or email

• Manage electronic filing of claims materials

• Take responsibility for creating claims and inputting reserve information/changes

• Take charge of processing claims payments and advance requests

• Prepare settlement payments, confirm wire details, and meet Finance requirements

• Support claims receivables and credit control items, and finalize and distribute Market Reports

• Respond to inquiries from brokers, insureds, co-insurers, and vendors

• Attend staff meetings and schedule teleconference invitations as directed


• Proficiency in answering inbound calls with professionalism and courtesy.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing exceptional customer service.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Ability to handle email correspondence promptly and professionally.
• Experience with both inbound and outbound calls.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for creating and managing spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook for email, calendar, and task management.
• Proficiency in creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in drafting and editing documents using Microsoft Word.
• Ability to schedule appointments effectively, ensuring optimal time management.
