Position Overview: Join our team as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist, supporting clients in crisis. You’ll assist with de-escalation, sobering services, and connecting patients to behavioral health resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in behavioral health crises, often with co-occurring disorders.
  • Use de-escalation strategies, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct assessments and screenings for substance use and mental health conditions.
  • Consult with clinicians and seek approval for required services.
  • Provide resources and navigation for patients.
  • Coordinate care and link patients to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
  • Complete daily tracking and data logs.
  • Participate in team meetings and assist with daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • BA in a related field with AOD education and 4 years of experience, or AA with AOD education and 6 years of experience.
  • Skills in Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered theory.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to serving underserved populations with sensitivity.
  • Computer literacy and EHR experience preferred.
  • Current CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

  • Shift: 9 AM - 5:30 PM, Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Note: This is a 24/7 operation. Holiday time off requests will not be approved if they fall on a scheduled workday.
