Job title: Manager-Med/Surg

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Shifts: Days (8:00-5:00) - On-Call Rotation

Responsibilities:

· Functions as an administrative extension for patient care supervision across hospital units.

· Identifies and utilizes appropriate clinical resources as necessary.

· Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information based on patient needs.

· Possesses knowledge of growth and development and understanding of treatment for various patient groups.

· Collaborates with other supervisors to evaluate staff, schedule PRN staff, manage patient flow, and ensure appropriate staffing.

· Assumes administrative responsibilities in the absence of hospital administration.

· Ensures unit staffing needs are met.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

· 3+ years of experience in clinical nursing and prior management experience as a charge nurse is required.

· BLS, ACLS required.

· RN state license of Utah or compact state is required.

· Basic Rhythm Interpretation class required within 6 months of hire.
