Job Description

Candidates will be given an order sheet when they get into work with orders to pull for the day. Each order is for flooring materials at different construction sites. They must pull orders quickly and accurately to avoid sending the wrong materials to the wrong construction site. They will use RF scanners to pull and track orders. Training on the forklift will be provided, and operation will be required periodically.

Responsibilities
  • Pull orders quickly and accurately based on the order sheet.
  • Ensure the correct flooring materials are sent to the correct construction sites.
  • Use RF scanners to pull and track orders.
  • Operate a forklift periodically after training.
  • Handle general labor tasks such as unloading, stocking, and moving materials.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with warehouse inventory management.
  • Proficiency in order pulling and shipping.
  • Skilled in using RF scanners.
  • Experience in driving and operating a forklift and pallet jack.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • No required education.
  • Will be certified on a forklift after permanent employment.

Work Environment

This is a new, very nice warehouse, although it is not climate controlled. Typical working hours are between 6 AM and 5 PM, with shifts usually running from 6 AM to 3 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes and jeans.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of The Colony, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
