We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves managing and maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in the HVAC industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will contribute to the efficient operation of the accounts department by executing a variety of financial and non-financial tasks.


Responsibilities:


• Setup new vendors and customers, ensuring all are recorded properly.

• Manage and execute vendor merges and purges.

• Handle the voiding and reissuing of checks accurately.

• Prepare weekly cash forecast and share with the accounts payable manager.

• Review and process Expense Reimbursements.

• Responsible for 1099 Processing, reporting vendors and amounts to IRS to comply with government regulations.

• Oversee the corporate card program by maintaining records of cardholder requests, cancellations, transfer/correction forms, policies, and procedures.

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management.

• Maintain and update customer credit records.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory

• Familiarity with coding invoices is necessary

• Must have strong data entry skills

• Proficiency in invoice processing is needed

• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel

• Experience with purchase orders is desirable.
