Job Description

A food manufacturer is hiring for an electrical maintenance technician. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical problems on the conveyor systems and the production equipment. You will interface with PLCs, VFDs, low & high voltage, and electrical panels.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of electrical maintenance experience
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting VFDs
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs
  • Arc Flash understanding
  • Read and interpret blueprints/schematics/drawings

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1040 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Deer Park, Texas.

Work Environment

The position is within a high-speed food production facility adhering to food sanitation standards. The environment can vary in temperature, being very hot or very cold in different areas. The facility is older, requiring strong problem-solving abilities to repair and maintain equipment. The maintenance team includes electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and refrigeration techs. Other departments have production workers and forklift drivers. Each shift requires at least 2 techs. The dress code includes steel toes, jeans, work shirt, and hair nets. This is a night shift position (6:00pm-6:00am). Shifts are organized into two blocks: Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat, with the option for additional overtime.
