Robert Half is working with a small Engineering firm in South San Francisco. We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer for a construction company, inviting applications from fresh graduates with a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate is ready to learn, possesses superior organizational skills, and demonstrates the potential to navigate the challenges of the construction industry. This is a contract to hire opportunity.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of the Project Manager to execute and monitor construction projects.
  • Act as a liaison between different teams and department heads, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Participate in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of construction projects and activities.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, monitor contractor progress, and evaluate project performance through data analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety laws, and other regulations.
  • Assist with the resolution of project-related issues and identification of risks.
  • Participate in site inspections and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to keep track of supplies and equipment for construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Proven experience in customer service and data entry
• Ability to manage timelines effectively for project completion
• Experience in organizing and maintaining files, both physical and digital
• Proficiency in scanning documents and managing shipping functions
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in tasks
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contractor operations would be advantageous.
