Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products by conducting thorough inspections of incoming components and finished assemblies. You'll utilize a range of inspection tools, such as microscopes, calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), to confirm specifications, identify potential defects, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The position also involves inspecting electronic assemblies, capturing inspection data, and operating advanced visual inspection devices like X-ray machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming components and products to verify specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform visual and measurement tests using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and CMM.
  • Inspect electronic assemblies for compliance with quality standards.
  • Operate visual inspection devices, including X-ray machines, to support detailed quality checks.
  • Accurately capture and register inspection data using the required system.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve inspection processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in quality inspection and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Experience with visual inspections, including electronic testing.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-600.
  • Experience in the inspection of electronic assemblies is highly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in electronic assembly, including SMT and thru-hole operations.
  • Previous experience in inspection or rework is an asset.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies), IPC-A-600 (Acceptability of Printed Boards), and IPC 7711/7721 (Rework and Modification) standards.
  • Knowledge of IPC-WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Our spacious 154,000-square-foot facility is home to a dedicated team of over 550 employees.
  • This position is available on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • The facility operates seven SMT lines and offers a competitive pay range of $18-19 per hour, depending on experience.
