Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Patient Care Representative based in Newark, California. The role is part of the healthcare industry and is primarily responsible for managing customer interactions in a call center setting. This includes processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to high-volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxed referrals
• Coordinate care by scheduling, editing and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients
• Facilitate communication between the patient and the physician or clinic
• Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department
• Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues, and escalate appropriately
• Work closely with care teams, patients, and external facilities to obtain necessary information required for care
• Communicate with the care team and support staff on various patient issues
• Update and maintain insurance information
• Deliver high-level of customer service following documented protocols and guidelines
• Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to articulate accurate information regarding services.• Role requires proficiency in Call Center Customer Service.
• Must have strong skills in Customer Service.
• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls is necessary.
• Ability to handle Answering Multi-Line Phone System.
• No minimum years of experience required, open to all levels of experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• High level of empathy and understanding.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare software is a plus.
