We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing essential speech and language therapy to students.
Position Overview:
Were looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to assess students' speech and language abilities, create individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students' communication and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct evaluations of students' speech and language skills, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on findings.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide direct therapy, including articulation and language interventions, to support students' communication and academic success.
- Collaboration: Work with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of therapy plans and progress, preparing reports for IEPs and reviews.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices and engage in ongoing training to enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state.
- Certification: ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
- Experience: Experience in schools or working with children with diverse needs preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of therapy techniques and the ability to work well with a team.
