Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and repairing equipment, including extruders, flexographic printing presses, and bag making machines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform data and root cause analysis and provide improvement ideas to the engineering groups.
  • Repair and maintain highly technical equipment such as servo drive systems, PC controlled systems, and drive integration systems.
  • Follow guidelines for completing and routing work orders, purchase requisitions, parts availability, and vendor information in the CMMS.
  • Repair and maintain electro-mechanical plant-specific equipment systems.
  • Provide detailed documentation of problems on CMMS to pass along information to the incoming shift.
  • Assist in training operators and mechanics.
  • Perform basic tasks in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Plumbing, Machinist, Lubrication, Millwright, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Ability to pass the Ramsey Test.

Work Environment

The position is on the 3rd shift, from 7pm-7am, following a 2/2/3 schedule, averaging 50 hours per week. Our million sq. ft. manufacturing facility is clean and organized, but not temperature controlled, so it can get hot in the summer. The facility is divided into areas, housing large machines and hundreds of employees, with no close-quarters assembly lines. Candidates must be comfortable with heights and potential fumes from inks and chemicals. The environment is unionized, requiring an understanding of union dynamics. PPE required includes steel-toed shoes, hat or hair net, beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and a hard hat.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $70000.00
