Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Gloucester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will primarily focus on handling customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. Additionally, you will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of customer credit applications.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records.
• Take responsibility for resolving customer inquiries.
• Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary actions based on the situation.
• Process vendor payments, this includes verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and addressing any discrepancies.
• Ensure all outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, and identify any discount opportunities.
• Facilitate amendments to purchase orders or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Aid in maintaining accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Retrieve Bill of Lading (BOL) while closely collaborating with the Seafood Procurement Team.
• Handle the processing of both Purchase Order (PO) and non-PO related invoices for payment.• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Skilled in conducting Check Runs
• Familiarity with Coding Invoices
• Excellent Data Entry abilities
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Oracle
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with SAP
