We are in search of a legal assistant for a remote, contract based role. This role offers a contract employment opportunity with a short-term duration. The Legal Assistant will be instrumental in handling service of process documents, managing claims, routing subpoenas, and addressing consumer complaints. The position is also involved in corporate insurance claims and applications, and filing licenses.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the processing of service of process documents and ensure they are routed correctly within departments.

• Work collaboratively with claims departments to ensure smooth operation.

• Manage and respond to subpoenas, routing them as necessary.

• Handle a high volume of consumer complaints, log them accurately, and ensure they are routed to the appropriate department.

• Oversee corporate insurance claims and applications, ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly.

• Utilize software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and Case Management Software to effectively perform duties.

• Leverage skills in calendar management and client relations to effectively liaise with customers and other departments.

• Employ strong communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and other departments.

• Utilize knowledge of insurance claims processes, insurance companies, and subpoenas to effectively manage and resolve related issues.

• Carry out other duties related to the Legal Assistant role as required

• Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Familiarity with Case Management Software, CompuLaw
• Experience with Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Calendar Management
• Experience in Claim Administration
• Strong Client Relations skills
• Excellent Communication abilities
• Knowledge of Insurance Claims and Insurance Company processes
• Experience in handling Subpoenas
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
