A Houston, TX full-service scrap metal recycling company specializing in purchasing scrap from both metal dealers and businesses that produce scrap as a byproduct, processing it, and selling it globally is currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.

 

Compensation: $75k-$90k DOE

 

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performance maintenance team
  • Maintain and repair heavy diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Minor and major repairs on heavy diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Experience restructuring maintenance departments to create a proactive maintenance approach and develop metrics to measure success
  • Hands-on working directly alongside maintenance and operational staff
  • Exhibit excellent time management abilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency and the ability to learn and effectively use the Company’s internal TPM system
  • Maintain a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

  • 5+ years Heavy Equipment Maintenance experience
  • 5+ years leading a Heavy Equipment Maintenance team
  • Hands-on repair of Excavators, Dozers, Skid Steers, Shredders, Front Loaders - BIG STUFF
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Display a proactive approach to job responsibilities
  • Show a high level of self-initiative
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Positive outlook and lead by example
