LHH is recruiting a Conflicts Analyst for a regional law firm with offices in Akron or Cleveland, Ohio. Previous law firm conflicts experience is required. The Conflicts Analyst will conduct research and prepare conflicts search reports, analyzing data related to clients and matters while identifying and assisting in resolving ethical conflicts for both new business and lateral matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute search strategies for conflicts searches related to new business and lateral hires using the firm’s internal electronic database.
  • Analyze and communicate conflicts search results to firm attorneys, suggesting resolutions for potential conflicts.
  • Conduct corporate research using online databases to identify corporate affiliations and relationships.
  • Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, firm attorneys, and the conflicts team to assist in conflict resolution.
  • Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for review.
  • Assist in the ongoing review, reconciliation, and cleanup of the firm’s existing client/matter information and conflicts database.
  • Provide excellent customer service to legal assistants and firm attorneys.
  • Be willing and able to work remotely outside of normal business hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a law firm conflicts department.
  • Experience using Intapp or equivalent conflicts software (strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules related to conflicts.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, independence, and decision-making skills.
  • Initiative and adaptability to changes in workflow, processes, and procedures.
Salary $65,000 - $75,000 with benefits

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
