We are recruiting a Controller in Seattle, Washington. This on-site role is within the finance industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing complex financial models and datasets, overseeing the general ledger system, and handling governmental accounting and contracts.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of complex financial models and datasets to guide decision-making processes.

• Manage the organization's general ledger system and ensure its accuracy and efficiency.

• Handle governmental accounting processes in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Oversee contract management, ensuring all contracts are properly documented and stored.

• Implement staffing strategies to ensure the finance team operates optimally.

• Execute regular reconciliations of financial accounts to maintain accuracy.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial processes and ensure the financial health of the organization.

• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management.

• Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.

• Demonstrated ability in handling complex datasets and financial models.
• Proficiency in working with contracts and general ledger systems.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in performing reconciliations and maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to develop and implement effective staffing strategies.
• Adept at managing financial control systems and budgets.
• Proven track record in preparing annual budgets, financial reports, and statements.
• Strong knowledge of financial software applications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the finance department.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
