THIS POSITION IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION

MIPPAA Coordinator

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour, 20-30 hours away

Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain valid car insurance as an insured driver.

Basic purpose 

This could be housed anywhere in the state

Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday (during the day), with occasional weekends and evenings as needed. 

Duration: This position is funded under the MIPPA grant and is expected to last for a minimum of 1 year through September of each year.  

Position Overview: Empower low-income Medicare beneficiaries by providing LIS (Low Income Subsidy)/MSP(Medicare Supplement Program) enrollment, client support, and community engagement.  

Job Duties and Specific Responsibilities:  
• Connecting with eligible Medicare beneficiaries and guiding them through the LIS/MSP enrollment process. 
• Providing ongoing support, answering questions, and addressing challenges throughout their journey. 
• Collaborating with community partners to raise awareness about LIS/MSP benefits and increase program accessibility. 
• Continuously learning through MIPPA training and sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance team effectiveness. 
• Ensuring accurate data management by maintaining organized records in databases and spreadsheets. 
• Building strong relationships with diverse clients, staff, and community partners through clear and effective communication. 
• Demonstrating initiative and collaboration to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in both independent and team settings. 


Preferred Qualifications: 
• Bachelor's Degree or strong work-related experience in fields such as Social Work, Outreach, and/or Communications
• Proven experience in outreach, enrollment, or healthcare assistance programs. 
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, particularly LIS and MSP. 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
• Familiarity with community resources and partnerships. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs for transporting computer.
Must have stable and reliable home internet (not a hot spot) for telework or will be required to work from an Oklahoma Human Services office.
