Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel tanker trucks and trailers. You will be responsible for DOT inspections of trucks and tanker trailers. Please note that this position does not involve engine or transmission work, as that is covered under warranty.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel tanker trucks and trailers.
  • Conduct DOT inspections of trucks and tanker trailers.
  • Perform maintenance on components such as air compressors, fuel pumps, hubs, wheels, suspension, springs, and axles.
  • Inspect, repair, or replace domes, valves, vents, or other equipment as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, brakes, hydraulics, wiring, and suspension.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with 18-wheeler trailers; tanker experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanic skills.
  • Experience with DOT 406, 407, 412 Tanker/cargo tanker.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with diesel engines and engine repair.
  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools.
  • Experience in welding is a plus.
  • ASE certifications are not required, but we offer support for obtaining ASE certifications.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
