Job Description

Join a team that designs and manufactures conveyor systems to keep consumer packaged goods moving in ways that are faster, more reliable, and more efficient. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and subassemblies to create high-quality conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by following assembly instructions and drawings.
• Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed conveyor sections.
• Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance procedures.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.
• Ability to retain information regarding standard assembly/disassembly procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in mechanical assembly or interpreting blueprints is preferred.
• Ability to work 1st shift and occasional overtime as needed.
