Job Description

The machine builder will be responsible for building and assembling panels attached to small to large industrial trash/waste compactors. The ideal candidate will need to know how to read a schematic provided by the engineer and will be responsible for assembling the panel accordingly. All wiring is color-coded, and the panels need to be neat and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble panels for industrial trash/waste compactors.
• Read and interpret schematics provided by engineers.
• Ensure all wiring is color-coded and panels are organized neatly.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
• Use power tools and equipment for assembly and fabrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with wiring and panel building.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding.
• Skills in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with machine building and fabrication.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two buildings with four departments: fabrication, building, final assembly, and painting. The facility is clean and organized despite being a fabrication environment. Work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
