Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Electric Motor Assembler to join our team. The role involves assembling very small motors, each weighing approximately 1 pound. This position requires a high level of attention to detail as you will be working with very small parts and engaging in repetitive tasks. Although J-Standard certification is a significant plus, it is not required.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electric motors using hand and power tools.
  • Follow manufacturing test procedures and implement continuous improvement ideas for the manufacturing process.
  • Perform electronic and/or mechanical assembly, read schematics and mechanical drawings, and operate machine tools and production tooling/fixtures.
  • Place parts in specified relationships either as sub-assemblies or final assemblies by soldering, clipping, screwing, or fastening all parts together using blueprints or schematics.
  • Rotate to different work stations as production needs require.
  • Help pack products into individual boxes and cases and place them on skids.
  • Inspect and gauge finished parts, make tooling adjustments, and handle and move supplies and materials.
  • Verify that outside labels and unit labels are consistent for all packet parts.
  • Clean equipment and work areas by performing daily and weekly safety checks of equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in electronic and/or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency in machine tool operations and operation of production tooling and fixtures.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand throughout the duration of the shift, and perform bending, twisting, and reaching tasks.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Soldering skills are a plus but not required.
  • J-Standard certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
