Staff Accountant/Greenville, SC

Pay:  $60K - $28.85 Per Hour

Hours:  8:30am – 5pm (M-F)

Summary:

Full responsibility of assisting the Controller of the company with day-to-day accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • All duties of Accounts Payable to include reconciliation of payables to purchase orders and entering invoices to system. 
  • Maintaining and scheduling all payables on a weekly basis, and processing/submitting payments to vendors. Reconciliation of all credit cards statements
  • Maintaining accurate and organized records by creating and posting to the general ledger.
  • Collect and maintain W9 forms and Certificate of Insurance from Vendors.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports of all A/P transactions, daily bank balances, and cash receipts.
  • Ability to maintain accrual accounts and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist in the Accounts Receivable department by invoicing and collecting when needed to be able to prepare weekly A/R projection report.
  • Assist with month end closing as needed.
  • Manage and submit the W-4 and 1099 forms, payroll, IFTA and Sales and Use taxes
  • Collections and forecasting revenues.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits/ reviews and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5 years minimum experience. May also consider 10+ years’ experience in this position without degree.
  • Office 365 software to include excel with expert knowledge of creating formulas. Proactive and Independent.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of all accounting functions.
  • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, GEAC, TMC or other networking accounting software tracking job cost.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
