Contract Duration: 2024-2025 School Year

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a high school team near Baton Rouge, LA for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position (37.5 hours per week) working with a diverse high school caseload. Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure acmodations and modifications are effectively implemented in the classroom.
  • Develop, review, and revise IEPs to meet the needs of each student.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction based on students' specific learning needs.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related activities.
  • Maintain clear and consistent munication with students, parents, and staff.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and district guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Active Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of Louisiana (or ability to obtain).
  • Previous experience working with high school students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong munication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities.
