Schools - Paraprofessional

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Warrensburg, MO. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' educational and social development within a classroom setting. You will work closely with teachers, students, and other school staff to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and reinforcing learning concepts.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying needs, including those with special education requirements.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support students with daily activities, such as organization, assignment completion, and social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and performance.
• Assist with classroom setup, preparation of materials, and administrative tasks.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children and supporting their educational growth.
• Ability to pass a background check and other state-required clearances.
