Inside Sales Representative

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be part of the Sales Department supporting the National Accounts Manager and International Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Location: Port Orange, FL
Pay Range: $17-$23 hour (DOE)
What's the Job?
- Support outside sales staff in efforts to build and maintain customer relationships and sell portable, engine-driven pumps to national accounts, distributors, contractors, municipalities, mines, and other customers.
- Prepare sale and rental quotes, municipal bids, and other proposals requiring technical specifications.
- Handle incoming sales calls, prospect new customers through telemarketing and internet research, qualify leads, and build customer profiles.
- Work closely with outside sales representatives, branch managers, National Accounts Manager, and International Sales Manager, assisting with activities such as location of equipment, equipment delivery, and various special projects.
- Maintain files for quotes and bids; report and track such information in designated systems.
- Meet periodically with company executives and present pertinent sales data.
- Document and seek resolution to major customer service complaints that involve the sales team, Production, Part Sales, and/or Engineering departments.
- Assist with special projects as they arise such as ISO compliance procedure updates, presentations, trade shows, training sessions, and other projects requested by the Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales, or Vice President of Branch Operations.
- Perform data entry for sale and rental orders; process client purchase orders.
- Coordinate and communicate with representatives of the Production, Materials, & Engineering Departments relating to sales & rental orders.
What's Needed?
- Prefer three years of experience in inside sales.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school, trade school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High proficiency of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and order processing systems (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
