As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring goods and services for our organization. You will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our operations. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Wood Dale, IL.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery time. Conduct supplier evaluations to assess their capabilities and compliance with our standards.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. Track purchase order status, resolve any discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Build strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability. Work with suppliers to optimize inventory replenishment and minimize stockouts.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs. Analyze supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that procured goods and services meet our quality standards. Implement quality control measures and address any quality issues with suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement, such as supplier disruptions or price fluctuations. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools
  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills


  Job Details:
  • Contract to Hire
  • Monday-Friday
  • Pay is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience

Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
