Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Enid, OK
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a full-time position in Enid, OK.In this role, youll work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing essential interpretation services to enhance their learning experience.
Position Details:

  • Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
  • Location: Enid, OK
  • Schedule: Full-Time (8AM - 2:45PM)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Caseload:Kindergarten Student

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation in various educational settings, including classrooms, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and equal access to educational opportunities.
  • Adapt classroom materials to meet students communication needs.
  • Support the academic and social development of students through interpretation.
  • Facilitate communication between deaf students, their peers, teachers, and school staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a license as a Sign Language Interpreter in Oklahoma
  • Completion of an interpreter training program is required.
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledgeable about deaf culture.
  • Passed EIPA assessment
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
