Job Description
As Weidenhammer continues to rapidly grow our web, commerce, and omnichannel marketing agency services and solutions, we are in search of a relational Consultant to accelerate our own growth at scale. An ideal fit for this role is someone who has a passion for consultative sales, the ability to identify a client's desired business outcomes and what success looks like, and collaboratively craft holistic solutions with a Tiger Team.
An ability to research prospects and personas and learn our end-to-end holistic capabilities quickly in are key qualities of this role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing rapport and relationally selling vision that is driven by strategic planning and technology. They will need to be results oriented and have demonstrated success in advertising, marketing, and/or commerce agency sales. They will be comfortable generating sales opportunities independently, leveraging all resources available to spark an initial conversation, drive interest in our products and services, and ultimately, closing the deal.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects by providing insights and guidance on their marketing and ecommerce strategies.
- Lead relational outreach (with low automation), conversational discovery, and tiger team collaboration for creation of holistic solutions that drive business outcomes and meet defined success criteria.
- Generate net-new business and manage new client acquisition strategies.
- Responsible for generating revenue from both existing clients and new prospects. Be a face of the agency in regional networking events and conferences.
- Represent the full service offering of the Weidenhammer Growth Agency including marketing strategy, website design/development, ecommerce, content marketing, email marketing, marketing automation, SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, graphic design, programmatic marketing and photography/video.
- Build a sales pipeline by cultivating prospects, creating new business opportunities and managing/expanding existing customer relationships using CRM tools.
- Collaboratively create and deliver sales presentations to key decision makers in targeted accounts.
- Draft initial quotes and proposals for qualified opportunities.
- Meet revenue and activity goals as set by the leadership team.
- Maintain a knowledge of ever-evolving marketing/commerce tactics and platforms.
- Manage and expand third-party relationships with platform providers and marketing agencies.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Regular/at least 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00AM until 5:00PM
Hybrid position. Primary office location Blue Bell, PA with regular travel to Wyomissing & Allentown. PA.
Travel
Some travel required to other Weidenhammer offices as well as client locations as needed.
Qualifications/Competencies
Track record of success in business development and sales in a digital marketing agency or related environment.
A passion for and thorough understanding of the ecommerce and digital marketing marketplace.
Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
A high level of numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.
Well-presented and able to present to senior client contacts.
Confident with a relaxed, yet persuasive manner and able to build a rapport quickly.
Required Education and Experience
An undergraduate degree or related field experience.
Minimum 5-7 years' experience working in a client facing marketing consulting or business development role.
Proven success in managing all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing.
Positive track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
