We are an asphalt paving company, with 21 years of experience in this industry, growing rapidly consistently. We are hiring additional team members for the Motor Vehicles Team, and we have an immediate opening for a Lowboy Driver to join our team The Lowboy Driver is a highly skilled position whose primary responsibility will be safely loading and securing equipment moves from different locations.

The qualified candidate must be willing to travel locally within Atlanta, GA. Travel out of town is rare; however, it may be required on occasion.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies

· Must pass all DOT and FMCSA requirements

· Responsible for transporting heavy equipment to and from job sites.

· Responsible for transporting construction materials (dirt, asphalt, etc…)

· Conduct routine inspections of equipment and providing support transporting heavy equipment needing repair to the repair shop

· Load and secure equipment at job sites as directed by Crew Lead or Superintendent

· Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned

· Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

· Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

· While on job sites, proper communication is to be maintained, keeping eye contact when backing, communicating using hand signals

· May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding, or removing screed extensions.

Qualification Requirements:

· Must pass all DOT and FMCSA requirements

· Must have basic maintenance of heavy machinery

· Must have a minimum 5-year clean DMV record

· Must possess a minimum CDL Class A license

· Must not have any DUI’s or OVI’s within the last 5 years

· Must keep truck in clean and orderly conditions

· Knowledgeable of DOT regulations and stay up to date on DOT changes

· Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission

· Must have a good attitude/cooperation: always maintaining courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers and public

· Physical ability to operate distributor and to perform manual labor as needed, such as shoveling or raking, under extreme temperatures and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-12 hours

· Must be flexible to work overtime/weekends, as needed

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions
