Job Description

We are seeking skilled Flux Core Welders with the ability to read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams. Candidates must pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test and possess the capability to perform layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to achieve the required preparation, configuration, and/or position for welding. Experience of at least 2-4 years in vertical and horizontal welding positions is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams.
• Pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test.
• Perform layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required preparation, configuration, and/or position for welding.
• Handle materials as needed by hand, overhead crane, forklift, or other handling equipment.
• Operate various types of automatic, semi-automatic, or manual welding equipment using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and submerged arc welding.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience in passing 2G and 3G FCAW weld tests.
• Proficiency in performing layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
• Experience welding in vertical and horizontal positions.
• Capability to handle materials using various equipment.
• Proficiency in operating various welding equipment using different welding processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, and carry various materials/equipment.
