Job Title: Engineering Lab Technician III

Type: Contract -12 Months

Day Shift -Mon-Fri - Onsite, 1stshift, flexibility on exact time but generally 7:00 am-3:30pm with 30 min lunch (core hours 9am to 3pm).

Location: Onsite -Mounds View, MN

Pay: $31.00/hr

 

We are seeking an Engineering - Lab Technician III for a very important client.

 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions. Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation. Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware. Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection. Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental. TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

1. top technical skills or experience required?

1. Must have's: strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and fine motor skills (ability to work with very small parts very precisely) - we will be giving a small test during interviews for demonstration of fine motor skills.

2. Nice to have's: previous medical company experience, machining experience (machine shop equipment like mill, lathe, power tools, etc.).

Obtains and provides technical information on matters of moderate importance to the job area. Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires complete and broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education. Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
