Wound Care Physician - St. Louis, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift (40hours per week)
Work Environment: This position allows you to work in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care facilities, and home settings. You will have the flexibility to set your own hours and work closely with patients at their bedside to provide personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
Wound Care Assessment: Assess and document the characteristics of wounds, such as size, depth, and location, ensuring accurate records and treatment plans.
Treatment & Care: Provide wound care treatments including debridement, dressing changes, and administration of topical medications.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and home management to promote healing and prevent complications.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide follow-up care to ensure optimal healing.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals in various settings, such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home care environments, to coordinate patient care.
Qualifications:
Medical License: A valid medical license is required to practice as a physician.
Wound Care Experience: Previous experience in wound care is preferred but not required. We will provide training and advanced wound care certification for the right candidate.
Board Eligible or Board Certified is required.
