Patient Access Representative

-2+ years experience in patient access registering patients
-2+ years experience with different insurance verifications and eligibility (IPA's, PPOs, HMO's, Medicare, etc)
-Experience with an EMR Software
-HS Diploma

An employer is looking for a Patient Access Rep in the Emergency Room setting. This individual will be cross trained on Patient Access activities for patients throughout the Medical Center for Inpatient, Outpatient and/or Emergency Services. Patient Access Representatives facilitate a positive patient experience by managing tasks such as insurance verification, benefits determination, and financial clearance. They handle responsibilities across Patient Access, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Financial Counseling, and more. Strong social skills are essential for effective communication with patients and clinical staff in a demanding healthcare environment.
Shift: 10pm-6:30am, Tuesday-Saturday
40-hour weeks
Lots of opportunity for overtime
