Job Description

The Quality Control General Inspector is responsible for sorting finished products and raw material retention samples that have exceeded their required retention period into waste bins corresponding with specific disposal pathways.

Responsibilities
  • Work in small teams to sort archived product and raw material samples into appropriate bins for disposal.
  • Use handheld scanners and/or a laptop computer to look up item codes and their assigned disposal pathways.
  • Use Microsoft Office to document sorted items.
  • Work safely in a warehouse environment.
  • Participate as a fully engaged member of a self-directed work team to achieve department goals.
  • Perform other support duties as needed, including document routing and various administrative and investigative tasks.
  • Perform all tasks as assigned by upper management.
  • Understand industrial safety guidelines, federal standards, and follow SOPs.
  • Visual inspection and quality checks.
  • Data entry and computer skills.
  • Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or other inspection roles.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Reading and Writing in English.

Work Environment
  • The work environment is in a manufacturing setting with loud machines producing nutritional products. The quality area is less noisy and involves detailed inspection and documentation tasks.

  • Grave: 10PM - 6:30AM $20.72 hr
  • Monday - Friday

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scotts Valley, California.
